03/20/2017 - I MISS THE SKID LOADER

Hola.

It's coming to the end of another transfer. We got one more week. What if I stay in this area again?! That would be crazy. Totally down for it hahaha.

Anyways, this week was awesome! We did some great work. We have found a lot of people who seem so genuine. Let's hope it stays that way!! We found 4 new investigators. There was a funny experience with one guy that we had, I don't think it was this week though. But we were talking to a guy in a trailer park and he was totally just rejecting us, and so he pointed over to another house and told us to go talk to that guy. He did it just to spite the guy ðŸ˜‚😂 we were like... well duh we'll talk to him!! So we did, and now he's a new investigator. Haha jokes on you.

So today, we get "A NEW CAARRRR" (what movie reference is that?! No wait... I'm consecrated.) we're getting a Toyota RAV4 2017. Wow. Spoiled mission? My companion and I had a Jeep Compass 2014 for awhile and we lowkey hated it. P.S. we're humble I promise ðŸ˜‚

We did service this week! .... like always! We weeded and built a chicken pen. It reminded me of working at home!!! I was like... this whole "holding a shovel and weeding, drill, hammer, wood, thing" looks really familiar.. hmmmm? Yeah. Did that often back home ðŸ˜‚ my dad taught me well. I knew how to use a drill... AND A SHOVEL ðŸ˜‚😂😂

We also went to the temple for the first time in a really long time! The temple was closed for a while because they were redoing the air conditioners because it's Arizona and those are necessary. Very necessary. It was so amazing! So spiritual. A very Jesus filled experience. They do Spanish sessions here and I want to go to one so bad.

Well, that was my week! This P day we aren't doing very much. Kinda nothing. I LOVE it. I'm going to take so many naps ðŸ˜Ž

Well, have a great week everyone!! Love you all be safe plz. Peace out. ✌

03/13/2017 - PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE! BE HAPPY!

WHATS GOOD WHATS GOOD
So this week was another blur. Why are they going by so fast? Idk.
Maybe I'm just enjoying it too much, idk.
So this week wasn't amazing with the work, but the Lord never said it
was going to be easy. Have any of you watched "Missionary work and the
Atonement" by the way? Watch it. We did actually find two new
investigators though! Maybe that's not a lot for some of you who were
bomb awesome missionaries, but these ARE PEOPLE, THESE ARE SOULS, NOT
NUMBERS K.
So this week what I learned is.... wait for it................
patience. Patience is a virtue my dear lovely family and friends. You
know who tests your patience? Companions 😂 I mean it happens, it
happens. Especially cause you're with them 24/7. Like really. Like I
can't not be with my companion. Not exaggerating. We even poop
together. NO JK 😂😂 that was over the top, but I'm leaving it in
here.  Anyways, so it's just given that you'd get annoyed every once
in a while, no? Well there is a key to this PATIENCE I speak of. The
key: service. Serve your companion. Whether it be small acts or
something big. Maybe do something that the person wouldn't even notice
you're doing for them. By serving them you are strengthening yourself
and becoming more Christ like. You're showing your love for them.
Blessings? Are those blessings that I see? So, you can turn this
around with anyone. It doesn't have to be a mission companion. Anyone
you're around. SERVE.
I remember this one guy said to me (this guy is actually in our ward
and I honestly forgot his name I truly apologize in advance because he
was totally legit and the best person ever. I can picture his face but
that name just doesn't pop up 😂 he was over the teachers. He was at
high adventure this last year. You know who I'm talking about.
Whoops😂) that I need to remember that "patience is a virtue" because
for some reason I said that while at high adventure. He said to
remember that, because you might get a companion that you may not get
along with very well (not saying I don't get along with my companion,
he's actually pretty legit. Super funny little white guy. I'm talking
about missionaries in general.) but, patience is a virtue. Who was the
best person to show patience? Well, Jesus of course. (Did any of you
not actually know that answer? Shame. Jk.) so, LOVE EVERYONE AND YOULL
BE HAPPYYYYY. Even if they do you wrong. That's not showing weakness,
it's showing strength.
Well that was my little tidbit today. I love you all to death ... and
even after death because death is not the end. Amen. Love you all have
a splendid week!

03/06/2017

Wow... I don't even know what happened this week? It felt like 1 day, not 7. Weird. But hey! Does it weird anybody else out that it already is the third month of the year? Like New Years was yesterday, no?

This week was honestly just a week of regular work! Nothing much happened. Kinda lame to here ðŸ˜‚

We had our first district meeting of the transfer on Wednesday. It was pretty different than all the others I've had! Our district leader decided to not give anybody a training to give, and so instead we just did a bunch of role plays. Not sure I've mentioned this, but I DESPISE role plays. They make you feel so stupid because nothing ever comes out the way you want it to ðŸ˜‚😩 but I decided to have a good attitude about it! And it actually turned out a lot better than I expected! So that was the highlight of my week. Other than for this p day!
Today for P-Day we went all the way out to Globe to the Tonto National Forest. I'll send pictures! It was so cool. I can't really explain it, but the pictures sure will. We went to this restaurant afterwards called "la cocina de casillas". It wasn't too bad! Globe and another town called Miami are SO TINY. I swear it's a population of like -20 people. That's not a thing jk. But on the real, probs not much.
Oh, another cool thing about the places out here is that often things will be in Spanish or both Spanish and English. Idk maybe it doesn't sound cool, but it looks cool cause the signs and stores will sometimes have Spanish. Cool cool stuff.

I wish I always had some awesome stuff to share with you guys, but life's not always that crazy as a missionary. Just insanely exhausting! But totally worth it.
